Three businesses.
One creative thread.

I've spent years learning how to turn a vision into reality — designing spaces, building brands, developing products and bringing stories to life. Now I'm bringing everything I've learned together to explore a bigger question: how do we create a life and business that genuinely reflect who we are?

Marije Richards Design

Designing spaces that make you feel something.

My work in interior architecture taught me how to translate an idea into a tangible environment. From spatial concepts and material choices to custom-made elements, technical development and project execution, I learned to bring a creative vision to life.

Working across residential, hospitality and modular living projects taught me to combine aesthetics with structure, functionality and real-world execution.

My work in interior architecture, project development, and showing my work on television.

The lessonA vision needs more than inspiration. It needs a concept, a structure and the ability to bring it into reality.

KOROOTS Store

Turning ideas into objects, and objects into a brand.

KOROOTS grew from my love for design, natural materials, craftsmanship, cultural exploration and the stories behind the things we bring into our lives.

Building a lifestyle brand took me beyond aesthetics. I explored product development, international sourcing, manufacturing, collections, brand identity and e-commerce.

I learned that creating a beautiful product is only the beginning. A successful concept also needs a clear identity, a meaningful story, the right structure and a way to reach its audience.

The lessonCreativity becomes something tangible when vision meets execution.

KOROOTS Studio

Making people feel the story before they experience it.

Through photography, film, web design and digital content, I explore how a brand's essence can be translated into a visual story.

My work with experience-driven brands, boutique stays, hospitality concepts, products and travel has taught me how perception, atmosphere, identity and communication influence the way people connect with a brand.

I learned to see the connection between what we create and how the world experiences it.

The lessonWhat you create matters. How you communicate it helps people understand why it matters.

The connection

I was always learning how to turn something invisible into something real.

An idea into a space.

A feeling into a design.

A concept into a brand.

A product into a business.

A story into something people can see, understand and connect with.

The creative thread

From inner world to outer creation

Looking back, I can see the thread that connected everything I created.

Interior architecture taught me how to give a vision structure.

Building KOROOTS taught me how to transform creative ideas into products, identity and business.

KOROOTS Studio taught me how to communicate the essence of what I create and make it visible to the outside world.

Together, these experiences taught me to see the bigger picture: how identity, design, structure, storytelling and execution work together to bring something meaningful into existence.

And eventually, I began asking myself a different question.

What if we could approach our own lives with the same intention?

We spend years learning how to design a home, build a business, develop a brand or create a product.

But how often do we apply that same curiosity to ourselves?

How well do we understand our own patterns, values, strengths and desires? How often do we question the expectations we've inherited? And how much of the life we're building genuinely reflects who we are?

That question became the bridge between everything I'd done before and everything I wanted to explore next.

Because the more I learned about creating things in the outside world, the more interested I became in the person doing the creating.

Her identity. Her inner world. Her natural strengths. Her vision. Her relationship with freedom, money, work and success.

Not just how to build something.

But how to understand what is worth building in the first place.

First, understand the creator.

Then get intentional about what you create.

The next chapter

From inner understanding to outer creation.

A learning space for women who want to reconnect with their authenticity, understand their individual strengths and build a life or business that feels like their own.

Explore inward

Self-awareness, shadow work, recurring patterns, personal values, emotional awareness and understanding the beliefs that influence our choices.

Understand your blueprint

Explore your individuality, strengths, preferences and potential through reflective tools, personal exploration and symbolic systems such as astrology and the Mayan calendar.

Design your way forward

Turn insight into action. Explore practical life design, decision-making, boundaries, creative thinking, digital products, brand building and independent business skills.

What happens when self-awareness meets creative thinking? When your personal blueprint meets practical business skills? When inner work becomes something you can actually apply to the way you live, work and create?

You begin to approach life differently.

Not by following another formula for success, but by understanding what success actually means to you.

This learning platform is being developed for women who want to explore their inner world, clarify their direction, reconnect with their strengths and develop the practical skills to bring their ideas into the world.

Depending on where you are in your journey, your starting point might be self-awareness and shadow work. It might be exploring your personal or cosmic blueprint as a tool for reflection. It might be creating more stability, structure and boundaries. Or it might be turning your creativity into a digital product, a brand or a more independent source of income.

Different starting points. One underlying intention.

To help you build a life that feels more like your own — and develop the capacity to bring that life into reality.

This isn't about becoming someone else.

It's about understanding yourself well enough to make more conscious choices, and developing the skills to act on them.

I believe there is another way: one that brings together intuition and discernment, imagination and structure, inner freedom and practical capability.

The intention is to turn these ideas into practical tools, frameworks, digital guides and learning experiences women can apply to their own lives.

You don't need to become someone else.

You need to discover what is already yours — and learn how to build with it.

I've spent years learning how to build things in the outside world. Now I'm bringing those lessons together with everything I'm exploring about the inner world.

Not to tell you who to be, but to help you discover your own direction and develop the tools to bring it to life.

You don't need to have it all figured out.

You just need a starting point that makes sense for where you are now.
